Modulation Output

toggle edit mode button on the Haloplane

The Modulation Output (MOD.) takes the envelope follower information and creates a continuous, dynamically moving voltage source. This unpredictable output can be patched around the instrument to add movement via the CV inputs.

You can think of the Modulation Output as a slow LFO that is influenced by how you play the instrument. The more active the pickups are, the more movement and voltage range the modulation output produces.

Modulation Output Modes

Using the companion app, modulation settings are accessed via the icon.

The Modulation output can be reconfigured into four modes:

MODEDESCRIPTION
WanderA sloth-like randomly wandering voltage that subtly increases speed and depth when more activity is present. Best for very slow, unpredictable, and gentle modulation.
BounceA sine-like oscillation that increases depth and frequency as you approach the instrument. Best for medium-speed, predictable, LFO-like effects.
FlutterA faster randomly moving voltage that increases depth and speed as you approach. Best for sample-and-hold-like effects.
Stereo EnvelopeThe two outputs (ENV. and MOD.) become stereo envelope CV outputs, corresponding to each pickup independently.
